If there's one constant in the mapping out of an eco-system or a prototype, that's time. It has a nice habit of going in a straight line and needs little explaining. It provides a direction and a scale to which we can all relate. So when mapping out a potential service for GMTN it made sense to stretch time out over a long table and plot in the different variables that made up their universe.
